Kristen Stewart keeps telling Sparkles that she never slept with Rupert Sanders

Kristen Stewart keeps telling Sparkles that she never slept with Rupert Sanders

These photos of Kristen Stewart in the striped thing with the black skirt-thing are from last night in Paris. Kristen went out to eat at a restaurant called ‘La Fidelite’ which (apparently) translates to “Faithful” (this according to the tabloids). Was this just a dumb mistake or is Kristen really pushing a “new” image? She is Faithful. She is Trustworthy. She would never have her sweaty biscuit nuzzled by a married director. FAITHFUL! There’s something to the idea that Kristen is doing a full-fledged media campaign to change up her image. How else do you explain this story in Radar, which once again reiterates the whole idea that Kristen never let Rupert’s married p into her sweaty v?

Kristen Stewart told Robert Pattinson that she never actually slept with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, and this is the reason why the Twilight star was able to forgive the dalliance and get back together with her, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.  Thank you Pets 2 Vets

“Kristen and Rupert both told their respective partners that they didn’t actually have sex,” a source close to the situation tells Radar. “Kristen was absolutely steadfast that she only engaged in several make-out sessions with Rupert but never slept with him. Rob didn’t believe her in the beginning but as time wore on he accepted her explanation. Kristen has given Rob passwords to her voicemail and e-mail account to prove she has nothing to hide and will do anything to get his trust back.”

As previously reported, Robert, 26, and Kristen, 22, reunited a couple weeks ago for the first time since they’re shocking split after the revelation that Kristen cheated on Rob with Sanders.

“They are living together and have reconciled,” an insider told Us Weekly.

The couple took a nearly two month break after Kristen was photographed in compromising positions with Rupert and her affair was exposed. Both Kristen and Rob ditched their $6 million Los Angeles home immediately after the scandal broke and although Us Weekly says they’re not where they used to be, the Twilight stars are on the path to reconciliation.

“There are still a lot of raw emotions there and time will tell if Rob and Kristen stay together. Rob and Kristen will be promoting the final Twilight movie and it will be very interesting to see what happens after that,” the source says.

[From Radar]

Regardless of whether or not there was actual Twi-penetration (ugh), this “media strategy” really offends me. It’s juvenile. It’s splitting hairs. It’s immature. And I can’t believe it’s actually working on Robert Pattinson. My take is still that Kristen and Rupert were sleeping together, and it was going on for a while. But even if you were just taking Kristen’s word for it (and why would you?), it’s STILL CHEATING.

Meanwhile, Rob and Kristen’s friends don’t think this “reconciliation” is going to last. A source tells Radar, “Rob believes that Kristen didn’t sleep with Rupert Sanders, but the fact is, she still cheated on him. Rob’s pals think it was easier for him to get back together with her right now because of the upcoming publicity blitz they are going to embark on to promote Breaking Dawn. Kristen definitely convinced Rob that this was going to be a bitter-sweet time for them, because this is the last Twilight movie. Kristen loves Rob, no question about it, but she just isn’t as mature as he is. Rob’s buddies would be stunned if the couple goes the distance.”

Who Did “Ghetto Baby” Better: Lana Del Rey Or Cheryl Cole?
Posted on October 19, 2012

cheryl cole lana del rey

Cheryl Cole‘s recording of “Ghetto Baby”, a cut penned by Lana Del Rey for her upcoming LP A Million Lights, surfaced back in June, and in between the knowingly dated references and sexy, detached delivery, there was no mistaking it for a Del Rey original.

Finally, today we finally get to hear the “Summertime Sadness” songbird herself on the tune as her demo popped up online. Head below to hear both versions, then let us know which artist was a more convincing ghetto baby.

First up, listen to Del Rey’s original demo, complete with her signature breathy cooing:

Lana Del Rey – “Ghetto Baby” (Demo)

And here’s Cheryl’s take, nearly identical to Lana’s performance:

Cheryl Cole – “Ghetto Baby”

Now that we’ve heard both pop stars on the track, we can safely say that Lana Del Rey is the only one who should be singing Lana Del Rey songs. Cheryl isn’t necessarily bad on her version — it just sounds like she’s doing a shameless impression of Del Rey the whole time. If she couldn’t manage to infect it with her own personality, it may as well have just stayed a Lana song.

Which version do you prefer? Let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.

Dusted – “There Somehow” Video (Stereogum Premiere)

Dusted - "There Somehow" Video (Stereogum Premiere)

Some time ago, we posted a shadowy rock track called “Property Lines” from the duo Dusted, the pairing of Holy Fuck’s Brian Borcherdt and Final Fantasy’s Leon Taheny. Today, they’re coming through with the clip for Total Dust slow-burner “There Somehow,” a video that’s appropriately spooky and stark. Here’s director Scott Cudmore to supply some context:

Brian sent me the Dusted record last year and I immediately fell in love with it. It stayed in my car for almost the entire year. Something about the sounds and textures on that record, I guess they made me think that they could complement images and sounds of my own. The subject matter of “There Somehow” and the short length of it really made sense with this material. It’s a different kind of project — it’s not a music video for a “single” but more of a little film collaboration between two existing works.

Watch it below.

Total Dust is out now on Polyvinyl/Hand Drawn Dracula.

Miguel Joins Nas For ‘Summer On Smash’ In Detroit

Nas delivered words of celebration — while plugging his new album — to a packed crowd in Detroit at his vitaminwater & FADER uncapped concert Thursday (Aug. 23) night: “Life is good! You know what I mean?”

And if life felt good then, it only got better when he welcomed R&B crooner Miguel on stage to perform the hot Swizz Beatz-produced feel-good track, “Summer On Smash.”

“I ain’t no singer so I got some help for this next one,” he told the crowd, as his DJ started the track and Miguel jumped up beside him.

As the song ended with an a cappella chanting of it’s “life is good, life is good” hook line, Nas gave props to his partner, yelling, “Make some noise for the young player Miguel.”

Miguel stuck around to perform his single, “Adorn”.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Top ‘Forbes’ Power Couple List
Posted on October 19, 2012

Jay-Z Beyonce

Last year Jay-Z and Beyonce had to settle for the #2 position on Forbes‘ Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples list. But with so many high-profile splits over the past 12 months, it’s no surprise that Blue Ivy Carter’s big bucks mom and pop have finally ascended the throne this time around. The money-monitoring publication notes that Bey raked in a cool $40 million between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2012 from music sales, royalties off her old material and her lucrative endorsement deals.

Hova, on the other hand, saw an additional $38 million hit his bank account thanks to his Kanye West pair-up Watch The Throne and the album’s related world tour. Ever the smart businessman, Jay’s also got cash rolling in from deals with companies outside the music realm, such as ad firm Translation, cosmetics company Carol’s Daughter and pro basketball team the Brooklyn Nets. Got to pay those bills, bills, bills, after all.

LeAnn Rimes steps out with her boys one week after leaving treatment facility

LeAnn Rimes steps out with her boys one week after leaving treatment facility

These are the first new photos we’ve had access to of LeAnn Rimes since just before her 30th birthday, which was also the same week that she went into rehab for Twitter. LeAnn was out and about with Eddie Cibrian and Eddie’s two sons, Jake and Mason, at the ‘Batman Live’ event last night in LA. LeAnn also tweeted this photo of herself, in which she’s showing off her “inner Catwoman”.

I’ve been enjoying the LeAnn-free gossip days, haven’t you? Not that she hasn’t been making news in smaller ways –LeAnn left her “treatment center” one week ago, and the tabloids declared her “post-rehab”. The whole “treatment center” thing seems especially sketchy to me, because even when she was supposedly seeking treatment, she got to leave whenever she wanted, like for weekend concerts. I’m not trying to start a pro- or anti-LeAnn flame war, but I’m seriously questioning whether or not LeAnn was truly in some kind of “mental health facility”. It just seems weird to me that she got to leave whenever she wanted, and that she was only “in treatment” for… what, two weeks? Which makes me think she’s probably just chilling out in a spa. It might have been a spa with on-site therapists, thus, “mental health facility”.

As for all of those stories about her alleged eating disorder… she looks the same to me in these photos. She might have even put on a couple of pounds?

Star Wars Episodes II And III To Hit Theaters In 3D In 2013
Posted on October 18, 2012

The stuff that nightmares and broken childhood dreams are made of, George Lucas’ Star Wars prequel trilogy hasn’t quite eeked out all the money it possibly can from the pockets of Star Wars fans. After all, the trilogy has only enjoyed, thus far, a theatrical release, individual VHS releases, individual DVD releases, a box set DVD release, and a box set Blu-Ray release—but the prequel trilogy has yet to be released entirely in 3D and so, hey, that noise you hear is George Lucas giggling and saying “ch-ching, ch-ching, ch-ching!”

As a precursor to this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration VI fest in Orange County, the official Star Wars Facebook page let it slip that, following the relative success of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D earlier this year ($43 million), both Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith would be getting 3D makeovers in 2013. Moreover, they’ve already got release dates: Attack of the Clones 3D will hit theaters on September 20, 2013, and Revenge of the Sith will follow suit on October 11, 2013.

Moreover, the announcement came with a large, simple banner (see above) that simply reads “Star Wars 3D.” Not “Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy 3D,” but simply, “Star Wars 3D.” Does this mean that the entire series, including the beloved original trilogy, is being converted to 3D? Sigh, probably.

What do you think of the Star Wars news?

Dina Lohan’s new ‘ET’ interview: ‘I’ve never partied with my daughter in my life!’
Posted on October 18, 2012

OMG. OMG!!!! Dina Lohan sat down for her first post-Dr. Phil interview, this time with Entertainment Tonight. We are now seeing a sober (-ish) woman, the same crack-liar who will shill and deny and obfuscate for her crackhead daughter for years and years and years. They need to start calling Dina “The Teflon Crackie”. The woman conducting the interview for ET is Christina McLarty – a familiar name if you follow random gossip. McLarty was married to Joe Francis for a hot minute, and she’s now dating David Arquette. And, by the way, SHE’S AWESOME. I love the way she seems to be challenging Dina on her crack delusions. Here’s the video (you can also see it here on ET’s site). Around the 2:40 mark is when Michael Lohan comes in, and you don’t have to watch that – he’s so gross.

Regarding the Dr. Phil interview, Dina says: “I was absolutely not under, intoxicated, or on any kind of medication. I was extremely upset.” Yes. Exactly. Dina’s defense continues to be: “Listen to my crack words, don’t believe your lying, sober eyes!” Don’t you love when McLarty just kind of goes off, telling Dina exactly what the public thinks of her and her daughter? “That you’re crazy. That you’ve been drinking. That you’re doing drugs. That you’re partying with your daughter. Enabling her. She drives drunk. She hits people.” She says that all as Dina tries to talk over her with crazy crack denials. It’s amazing. But the best part may be Dina’s cracked-out declaration: “I’ve never partied with my daughter in my life!” O RLY?!?!

As for Michael… “If I did throw a Bible at her, she should have picked it up and read it.” OH DEAR GOD.

But seriously… Dramamamas? Why is Dina allowed near innocent children?

And in other crackhead news, The Enquirer had this funny/sad little story about Lindsay:

Lindsay Lohan again refused to pay a legitimate hotel bill – although her $1,000-plus charges for minibar, mani-pedi’s and massage at Atlanta’s W Hotel were a far cry from the fabled $46,000 bill she blew off weeks ago at the Marmont.

In town filming Scary Movie 5, Lindsay plunked herself down and refused to pay OR leave the hotel until producers wearily coughed up the cash – but a spy says they intend to deduct the dough from LiLo’s paycheck!

[From The Enquirer, print edition]

Classic crackie. Remember, this is the same studio that had to send a private jet for Lindsay because she pitched a crackie hissy fit and claimed she couldn’t work because she had “walking pneumonia”. When the studio sent her the private jet and told her that they would sue if she didn’t show up, that’s when she magically got better. So… I believe this story. And I hope the studio takes all of it out of her “paycheck”.

Some photos of Dina NOT partying with Lindsay last year:

Reviewing Ebert’s ‘Greatest Films’: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948)
Posted on October 18, 2012

Years ago, ScreenCrave contributor Jaime Lopez privately began tackling Roger Ebert’s “Greatest Films” list, an ever-expanding monolith of celluloid currently comprised of 354 films. With 271 under his belt and less than 100 films left to go, Lopez has set himself to put these remaining films’ “Greatness” to the test–reviewing both the movies themselves and Ebert’s response. This week, he takes on John Huston’s The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre has nearly everything I could ask for in a Hollywood classic, a tight and well-told story, legendary actors at their best, and solid production value. The subject matter runs deep, as it even tackles a heavy topic such as capitalism. It may even be the first time that cinema provided us with a clinically paranoid protagonist at that. And all of this with with no love story, which is an indication that this film can purely sustain itself with its This movie deserves its spot as one of the greatest classics ever, hands down.
Director: John HustonScreenwriters: John Huston, Bruno TravenCast: Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston, Tim Holt

We begin in Mexico in 1925. Fred C. Dobbs (Humphrey Bogart) is a middle-aged American who’s down on his luck and begging for money on the streets. Making matters worse, when he lands a quick job helping to build an oil rig in scorching heat, things don’t turn out well. Without much to his name, Dobbs buys one-twentieth of a lottery ticket, winning a bit of cash. Though he could have won more had he paid full price, he makes enough to jump into a tempting venture. One night, in the company of other downtrodden and homeless men, he listens to an old man named Howard (Walter Huston) who speaks about prospecting for gold in the mountains. The old man’s logic seems sound. Needing a partner, Dobbs makes an agreement with Bob Curtin (Tim Holt), with both eager to gather materials in search of treasure.

Dobbs and Curtin are amateurs, so they bring Howard along as a guide. After initial struggles, they eventually find gold, which brings the group more trouble than they anticipated. As they say “I thought all there was to finding gold was to pick it up and put in in our sacks.” Dobbs and Curtin go from being partners to having major trust issues. Earlier in their journey, Dobbs is heard saying to Curtin, “I owe my life to you, partner,” but this level of respect becomes strained, and Howard, a wise older man with little ambition for enormous wealth, does his best to admonish them of the things that gold can do to a man’s soul: “We wounded this mountain, the least we can do is close the wound after all the wealth she’s given us”.

For Howard, all he wants is to make enough to take care of himself in old age, setting up an old business and having time to read comics and adventure stories. Curtin declares that he’d become a fruit grower, mainly based on his nostalgia for the San Joaquin Valley. Dobbs, on the other hand, in a very telling way, shows his superficial ambition when he states, “I’d go to a store and order a dozen of everything. I’d order food just to ask the waiter to take it back”. Suspicion and paranoia start creeping in. Exacerbating matters further, the group has to contend with bandits, corrupt “federales”, and local tribesmen.

Behind this film is the story of Bruno Traven, which is actually the pen name of the author who wrote the original source novel. Mr. Traven lived a mysterious existence and nearly every detail of his life has been disputed. There is very little proven about him, regardless he wrote great fiction (Macario, a 1960 film based on one of his novels is one of my favorite movies), and he packed his stories with political messages. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre plays out as a sharp attack on capitalism, forcing us to contemplate the meaning of value. For some time Traven refused to have his novel published in any capitalist country.

This is a “classic” for a reason. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre remains great, so thank you for pointing me to it. It functions as a parable on capitalism, and in our modern era it resonates deeper still. You are right when you say the “movie has never really been about gold but about character, and Bogart fearlessly makes Fred C. Dobbs into a pathetic, frightened, selfish man – so sick we would be tempted to pity him, if he were not so undeserving of pity”. By allowing the audience to go deeper into the psychosis of the character, Sierra Madre shows how someone’s conscience can deteriorate. Dobbs is the tragic hero, brought down by his flaws. As you said it comes “in the Joseph Conrad tradition, using adventure not as an end in itself but as a test of its characters”. I was thoroughly entertained not only by Humphrey Bogart, but also by Walter Huston’s performance, which is masterful. But, as you point out, ” Listen to the way the senior Huston talks, rapid-fire, without pause, as if he’s briefing them on an old tale and doesn’t have time to waste on nuance.” Huston’s manner of speaking is a major reason why the film grabs you. You feel like you’ve entered a fairy tale as though it’s “story-time” and you can’t wait to see what happens.

Do you like Treasure of the Sierra Madre ? Do you consider this film to be Good, Bad, or does it stand up as Great?
